Family Services
We know that your time is valuable, and that quality time with your child is even more precious. At Distinctive Tutors, we work on your schedule to provide professional home tutoring. All of our tutors are state-certified teachers, so you know they are dedicated to education and understand the learning process.
Traditional tutoring options in the Waco area have been limited to group study sessions where your child has to fight to get answers to his or her own questions or haphazard appointments with unprofessional independent contractors who may or may not be available as you try to work around their schedule.
At Distinctive Tutors, we are prepared to tutor your school-age child, from the elementary grades through high school. We tutor all subjects encountered in K – 12, particularly:
- Algebra
- Arithmetic
- Calculus
- Chemistry
- English
- French
- Geometry
- Language Arts
- Physics
- Spanish
- Study Skills
- Test Prep for SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP
If you don’t see the subject you are interested in, ask! There is very little that we can’t cover. Our tutors have experience navigating learning challenges such as dyslexia and ADHD. We also have tutors who are Gifted and Talented certified.
Adult Services
We do cover some subjects at the college level. We can provide individual tutoring sessions for adults needing a boost to get over a stumbling block in their college classes. Single-session tutoring arrangements are usually for 3 to 5 hours. Adults seeking more regular tutoring are welcome to sign up for regularly-scheduled tutoring.
School Services
During TAKS time, schools can often find their faculty and staff strained to the breaking point. We can provide relief by providing individual or small-group TAKS tutoring during the school day, freeing up teachers to stay in the classroom.
