How do I sign up?
Just send us an email at info@distinctivetutors.com or give us a call at (254) 214-5363. Someone from Distinctive Tutors will contact you wtihin 24 hours.
How long do tutoring sessions last?
Most tutoring sessions will last at least one hour, but we can work with whatever your child requires.
Can I sign up for weekly tutoring?
Yes! In fact, we prefer that you arrange for weekly tutoring sessions to help identify potential problems before your child falls behind. Special rates are available when you commit to one full semester of service.
Do I need to be there when the tutor is there?
Yes. In case of emergency, we require that at least one parent is present at all tutoring sessions. All sessions should take place in an area open to the rest of the house that is also quiet and free of distractions.
What subjects do you offer?
Our tutors can cover almost any subject taught from Kindergarten through high school, including algebra, geometry, and calculus. Tutors for more advanced material are available on request.
Do you offer enrichment beyond what is offered in the classroom?
Absolutely. Whether during the summer or during the school year, we can help your child get a head start through special activities individually tailored for your needs. We can also offer assitance in SAT, PSAT, ACT, or AP exam preparation.
What is your service area?
We serve the entire McLennan County area, including the cities of Waco, Woodway, China Spring, McGregor, Hewitt, Robinson, and West.
What ages do you tutor?
We can tutor elementary age subjects, up through high school. On special request, we can also tutor several college-level subjects.
